New podcast: conversations about public money in healthcare.
A new podcast, in Polish. The first episode, 15 minutes, is a dispute over the half-time requirement in hospitals: what it omits and where critics are right.
The site’s texts explain mechanisms. The podcast is a different form: opinion journalism. The speakers argue, and the site says plainly what it thinks. Figures, quotations and descriptions of the rules follow the same standards as in the articles.
First episode: half-time
The Sejm has passed a requirement of at least a half-time post in hospitals and hospital-based outpatient clinics, and the act is now before the Senate. The site talks to Darek, an anaesthetist on call in a county hospital: what the provision leaves out, where critics are right and what nobody has counted. Darek is a fictional character and uses arguments that were actually made in this dispute.
How the podcast is made
The sources are public documents, data and statements, listed with the episode (in Polish). AI tools help prepare the script, and the voices are synthetic. Decisions on the claims rest with the editors, who are responsible for the episode.
